Real-time data at racing speed.

Problem

Emirates Team New Zealand's America's Cup boats are technological marvels that generate immense amounts of data - over half a million packets per second from onboard sensors. The team needed a way to view and analyze this torrent of information as close to real-time as possible, helping them make faster, smarter decisions about boat performance.

Solution

We created a data visualisation and analysis platform that could handle the intense stream of IoT data from the boat's sensors. The architecture was designed to process and display this information with minimal latency, turning raw data into actionable insights for the sailing team.

Using React.js for the front end ensured smooth performance even with rapidly updating data displays.

Results

The platform enabled Emirates Team New Zealand to transform their real-time data into actionable racing insights. The sailing team could now analyse performance data during training sessions and races, helping them optimise their strategy and boat setup. This real-time intelligence proved valuable in their competitive campaign.
