Making certification simple.

Problem

Teachers were struggling to find clear information about renewing their practicing certificates, leading to confusion and an increased load on the Teaching Council's contact center. The existing process meant staff spent valuable time fielding basic questions rather than handling complex cases that needed their expertise. The Council needed a way to make the renewal process clearer and more accessible.

Solution

We started by mapping the teacher's journey through the certification process. This led to the development of a focused microsite that breaks down complex information into clear, digestible content. The site runs on Next.js deployed through Vercel for optimal performance, while the UX design ensures teachers can easily find exactly what they need. We launched with a pilot program to test engagement and monitor the impact on operational efficiency.

Results

The microsite has transformed how teachers access certification information. Through targeted email and SMS campaigns, teachers now find the information they need independently, reducing their reliance on the contact center. The pilot showed that teachers could successfully complete their renewal applications with minimal support, freeing up the contact center team to focus on more complex queries.
